Jace moved around the fountains, not really focusing on his surroundings. His mind was wlsewhere, and deffinately not in Wayland. Blinking his honey-golden eyes at his surrioiundings like he'd never seen this place before, Jace moved over to one of the smaller fountains. No one was nearby, which suited the Hunter perfectly. The man peered inot the pool and saw his face reflected back at him. His eyes combed over his relection quickly. He looked teh same as always; golden-brown eyes, relaxed look on his face, his hair hanging neatly around his head. Looking through his reflection, Jace saw several shining pennies adn quarters. Petty loose change. And yet there was a law prohibiting people from reaching their hands in and taking the wet changes. Sitting down at the edge of teh fountain, Jace looked around him.
His eyes didn't look at anything for too long., But he still took in all the details. There were plenty of humans around, just going about their boring lives as if nothing bad could happen. The scent of a few half-breeds blew on the wind. Half-breeds were waht Jace called both feli's and cani's. Its not like he hated them, but if they hadn't existed, he would've never been operated on. He had been one of the first sucessful humans and more were were being comissioned because he was such a success. And of course, his father was teh genus behind all of it. Jace rolled his eyes and sighed. Just thinking about his biological father ticked him off and gave him a headache. Laying down on teh fountain's wall, Jace gazed up at the sky, his left hand stirring the water beside him mindlessly.
The sky was a dark gray, almost black. It was going to rain, and very soon at that. Most people were probably going to head in sometime soon, especially when the rain started to pour down. But Jace would stay out here. Since he was a hunter, he had been stationed in several places. ONe of them had been the rainy state of Washington. He'd gone without sunlight and constant rain of varrying degrees for 2 years. He could stand a light rain for a few hours.
The people who passed by him must have thought the man was both, and incredibly handsome. Here was some guy, laying by a fountain, staring up at a sky that's goihng to start raining any minute. But he must have not looked too crazy, because he hadn't been arrested yet. The people must have figured that crazy, unusual, dangerous people don't look like that. Jace was wearing a usual outfit for him. His jeans were worn and faded, showing how much he liked them and how often he wore them. They were slightly frayed at the bottom, showing where his boots had stepped on them repeatedly. His boots were rather old, and worn looking as well. They had used to be a clean, polished leather, but now they were perminately covered in dry muc, which caked the toes of both boots. Jace's t-shirt, though, showed the most wear-n'-tear. It was a gray with a faded design on the front, though it was impossible to tell what it used to be. Holes dotted around the shirt, making it look like a worn dishtowl or a rag rather than an actual shirt. At some point, it had probably been one or both, which explained the holes. Jace's bronze body showed through the holes, glowing with a light layer of sweat. He always did some sort of labor before he went out in public. The sweat helped mask his distinct smell, the sweet, alluring smell all Hunters gave off. Today he had done some simple work out excersizes. Hoping that no half-breed would disturb him, Jace stared up at the sky, wonderinghow long it would take for teh clouds to release their precious gift of rain.
