Evelyn browsed through the store. All the clothing appealed to her. They were different styles that she loved. But she needed to make sure she didn't wear what others with the sight of color would consider ridiculous. But everything to her appeared as different shades of gray. Just as when she is in her creature form, she sees only gray. She is not bothered by colors in her sight in human form so the transfer of sight is no problem for her. She can run letting the grays shift into the background until she found a person with the scent she was looking for.
Her hands flew across something of silky texture and she turned toward it. It was a scarf it's shade light but who knew. She checked the tag and saw the color was a "bright yellow." That's why in her eyesight she thought it was just purely white. She checked the other scarves and found one in white and held it fast to her. Sighing she continued. She only had a limited amount of money and could only buy a few things.
That's when she passed a mannequin dressed in a flowing "white" sun dress. Eyes wide she stepped to it and searched for the tag and saw it was indeed white. She turned around and looked for a woman to help her. They found one in her size and Evelyn smiled happily, showing off her unusually sharp canine teeth.
She never knew exactly what she was, only that she woke up one day. Was looked after until she turned 18, at which point she "bounced," as her roommates told her. But they didn't know what it was like having this increased strength and incredible senses. Not to mention she would at times of great distress or heightened emotion she would feel this trembling and she would run off to a bathroom. There she would transform into this creature. She was frightened the first time and kept herself in check at all times. But no one told her anything. As far as she knew they were all human.
Now though. Now she knew what she was. A Cani. She's heard of the hunters, and is terrified she might face one on her own. But if need be she will defend herself.

sophia's...the word haunted ninon and everything she stood for. the preppy and colorful-ness of the shop, it scared her. she just didn't understand how anyone in their right mind could be so preppy to actually step inside of sophia's shop, yet here she was, daring herself to take a step inside. raising her hand to the back of her neck, she gazed down the streets, then with one big breath pushed open the store door. walking inside, she was blinded with colors of all verities. yes, colors was what ninon could see, and it was her power. whether she was in human or cani form, ninon, unlike most animals, had the ability to see in color in both forms. she had to admit, she loved it. without colors, the point of being a dancer, writer and singer would be shot to the ground.
as ninon scanned the store, she could instantly tell who were canis, felis, hunters and, or course, plan humans. rolling her eyes, she didn't understand what the point of being a human was. they had nothing to make them fearful, so what harm did they posses, and why did they have to be alive still? sure, she had a couple good human friends, but truthfully...were they all that special when she thought about it. pushing the thought back, ninon took another step forwards into the horrid shop. what had compelled her to venture into her anyways? perhaps it was the little voice daring her to explore some place new, or perhaps she was just bored. all were possibilities.
deciding to not waste the little time she could stand in the store, she moved towards a rack that had nothing but pinks and purples. realizing the colors she had chose, she moved to blues and greens instead. randomly looking around, although not having the intention to buy anything, ninon watched out of the side of her eyes to see if anyone caught her attention. after moments passed, she took in a deep breath and marched to the front of the store. turning back to the people inside, she had a frustrated look on her face. "you people are all to...COLORFUL!" she rose her voice then turned around and walked out of the store. breathing in as if she hadn't breathed at all in the store, she closed her eyes. so...many...colors...
[words] 403. [comments] finally, another cani.

Evelyn turned her head as someone entered. She watched the woman's reluctance to even be in the store and suppressed a smile upon her dismissal and exclamation of everyone in the store being too colorful. Grabbing the dress and quickly paying for it as needed she kept her sight on the woman as she exited the store. Eyes alight with curiosity. If she believed them to be too colorful, then that woman was the right kind for herself to be around. Colors just didn't suit her taste.
Grabbing her bag, she gave a slight sneer at a Feli she walked too close to and hurried out. Brushing past a human as she made her way outside, the bight light of the sky blinded her momentarily but she recovered. The gray streets, sidewalks, and cars met her. How she knew it was all gray, she wasn't sure. A phenomena that was never explained to her exactly. Holding her bags close she walked a little ways and spotted the Cani that had caught her attention. Stopping a mere foot a way from her, she gave a slight smirk.
"Colors aren't your thing, I assume?" She questioned coolly with a slight edge to her voice, unsure of whether the woman would regard her as condescending or not. either way she did not really care. She just was drawn in by this female Cani. Her dark hair really caught her attention. Lifting a strand of her white hair and twirling it slightly as she took in it's white appearance to her sight. Being a writer with no color sight was difficult, but it's what made it interesting.
Evelyn watched the woman carefully for any signs of rejection.

ninon took small steps to a bench near by, it sat under a tree and provided the perfect amount of shade for her. as she took her seat, her black hair tumbled over her face in a messy way. sitting strait up, she took her hair in her hands and swiftly put it into two breads. content, she grabbed her black french hat from her jacket and placed it over her head. it made the breads seem not so messy, and more...neat? with that, she raised her eyes to the door of sophia's and watched as a girl walked out. keeping her eyes on her for a few moments, she took in a deep breath and figured she was a fellow cani. relaxing her muscles, she watched the girl with curiosity. as she walked closer to ninon, she assumed the girl had caught curiosity in her as well. wondering when the girl would stop walking, she was a little put back the girl seemed to only stop but a mere foot from her. sighing, she pushed the thought back and remained quiet as she spoke.
when she used the word assumed, ninon couldn't help but think back to something her mother always said...
[/i]when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me.[/i] ninon never got it when she was younger, but now she did and she agreed with it quite a bit. smiling, she realized a couple minutes had passed and she nodded her head slightly. "colors are my life, just not so many at once." she replied with a calm voice. studying the girl in front of her, she guessed what her purpose was here like she had done with just about anyone. it was away that kept ninon on her feet, always figuring out ways to remember someone and their features. sure it was hard at times, but without the challenge, would it be as fun? probably not. moving her eyes away from the girl, she gazed around the area they were. normally ninon would never come here, but something told her to today. turning back to the girl, she smiled slightly again and fixed her glasses that lied on her face. "i'm annabelle beauvais, but call me ninon. cani are your service, as long as you aren't a hunter, i have nothing to worry about." she said laughing slightly. taking in another breath, she smiled, "and by the smell of you, you are far from being a hunter, so welcome." she nodded to the girl then turned her attention back to their surroundings. it hadn't ever occurred to her how nice the place around sophia's actually was.
